Inspired by the national Fruits & Veggies—More Matters™ campaign, our intent is to promote the consumption of fruits and vegetables in Linn and Benton counties. Each month, one fruit or veggie is featured with recipes and tips for picking and preparing. We strive to feature selections that are available for local purchase during their month. Local Pick of the Month is an initiative from the Benton County Healthy Weight and Lifestyle Coalition, Healthy Active Lebanon and Healthy Albany Partnership. Joined with them are members of the community and other organizations who are eager to promote healthy lifestyles in our areas.
